Head of Motorsport Business Unit's Supply Chain world-wide, working in the extremely dynamic environment of racing.
Responsible for the Supply Chain of the Motorsport division of Pirelli Tyres, world wide. In this position I have covered different aspects of the supply chain, from the flow of semi-finished products, to production planning, from network distribution to crisis management. In this role I have managed to drastically reduce the stock levels that we carried world wide thus freeing capital and to reduce costs by applying a cost-benefit approach in each activity. Since the supply chain for competition tyres is time and availability critical, I have developed a strong attitude towards quick decision-making.
In this role I have also managed factory slow-downs and shut-downs and how these integrate with the overall Supply Chain, the internal and the external customers.
Key Achievements to date:
Stock levels: reduced from 1.2 years of stock to 0.8 yrs in 10 months.

In this role I have managed the start-up of the Direct Deliveries Pilot Project working in Logistics and cross-functionally with the Commercial, Finance and IT departments, a number of UK and European factories and a major European customer. With the support of a team composed by members working in different functions of the organisation, I have been working on process-engineering, efficiency, time and change management. My activity principally focused on cost efficiency, innovation, and overall on a continuous review and evolution of the processes, from the more operational procedures at warehouse level to the design of SAP transactions, document flows and new processes in the Supply Chain. A few months into the project I had started to review the exsisting import processes to improve their efficency and effectiveness.
Key Achievements:
Timely go-live of the project, in line with the company and customer's objectives
Digitalisation of the main document flows between Pirelli and its local and overseas warehouses, the customers and the hauliers involved.
Developed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to monitor and improve both the company and customer's operations
A continuous and well definited improvement in all the different areas touched by the project and the creation of best practise that will be gradually rolled-out to other markets.
